A friend took me here. While the service was bit slacky, the food was great. Having lived in Hong Kong for 18 years, I love Chinese food. But growing up in India and Nepal, one must admit that Indo Chinese food is different from Chinese food. With a touch of gentle masala, I love it. Price here reflects the food menu of the late 90’s. Price is very reasonable. The ambience is clean and warm.

The chicken curry, Paalak paneer and chicken butter masala were delicious, but the naan was fluffier than I prefer—I like thinner naan. It’s a great place for gatherings of more than four people, and the prices are reasonable.

Still good food and quick service! I went to Downtown restaurant after ages, since it's usually out of my way.. I was amazed by the quality of food they served. I tried a few items like tofu mushroom with oyster sauce, aalu paratha, chicken keema naan, chicken keema curry and chana gravy... everything was so tasty! They even offered to deliver despite my location being quite far. Thank you and I look forward to enjoying your meals!

Downtown Restaurant is our go-to restaurant every time we are in Nepal. The restaurant interior design is simple but it serves up the tastiest Indian food. Highlighting our favourites: 1. Naans - my personal favourite is the garlic version. There is also a sweet naan called the Kashmiri naan that's topped with dried fruits, cheese and toasted nuts. 2. Butter Chicken - creamy, a little spicy and filled with Indian flavours. A great pairing with the naans. 3. Palak Paneer - a vegetarian curry that's made with spinach and cottage cheese. 4. Chicken Biryani - it was different from what we had expected. It was closer to a plate of fried rice but full of flavours and fragrance from the spices. 5. Aloo Gobi - Simple yet flavourfully packed. It had tender potatoes, beans, cauliflower, tomatoes etc with a blend of spices and aromatics. 6. Chicken Momos - my absolute favourite! Similar to dumplings, they have meat filling encased in a thin dough skin, and steamed to deliciousness. They are flavourful and juicy with a little tang from the tomato chutney. 7. Masala Tea - Warm, aromatic and comforting cup of spiced tea with milk.
